Great day for a 50. The weather cooperated and most people did not get bonus mileage. We did have a few over achievers (Scotty, Jean, and Katrina) who love those extra miles. That is why these races can sometimes be considered an adventure to stay on course. I am sure most of you saw the baby ducklings with momma duck on the Burke Gilman, so cute. Great pictures on the book face, glad you enjoyed the route.
We had two women go get that 50 mile loop around Lake Washington. Congrats to Jenny and Katrina. Rockstars!
Many people ran the north end of the lake completing the 50K. Even a few came out for the half. Excellent work by all the runners.
Thank you to my brother Keith for sticking around all day to get your results and support you at the end. And a big thank you to my husband Chris for setting up the aid station at just the right place, top of Juanita Drive. Of course thanks also to Matt for the creative woodals.
